Christian Beuse

Bassoon

The bassoonist Christian Beuse studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel. 

He has been a member of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin since 1995. For the past 15 years, he has also maintained a regular collaboration with the Concentus Musicus Wien under Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Since its founding in 1992, Christian Beuse has been a member of the wind quintet Das Reicha’sche Quintett, which performs on early Romantic instruments and has recorded eight CDs in co-production with various broadcasting organizations for the label New Classical Adventure. His concert tours have taken him to almost every European country, as well as to Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Colombia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay, and the United States. In addition to regular radio and television productions, more than 100 CDs featuring music from the Middle Ages to the Romantic era document his broad repertoire. 

Christian Beuse taught at the Vienna Conservatory from 1995 to 2001 and at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Trossingen from 2000 to 2005. Since 2001, he has held a teaching position at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, and since 2004 at the Hochschule der Künste in Bremen. In 2006, Christian Beuse began teaching at the Universität der Künste Berlin. He has served as a lecturer at the Academy of Early Music in Brixen/Bressanone and has led masterclasses, among others, at the International Summer Academy of Early Music in Innsbruck.
