The internationally acclaimed viola virtuoso Antoine Tamestit is collaborating with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin for the first time. Together we present a true celebration of the viola!

Telemann was a pioneer in many areas - including with the first masterpieces he dedicated to the viola, helping the instrument quickly gain recognition as a fully fledged solo instrument. Together with Sabine Fehlandt and the members of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Antoine Tamestit pays wonderful tribute here to a body of music that set new standards, in which charming melodic writing and strict counterpoint complement each other to perfection.
