To mark the 300th anniversary of the Brandenburg Concertos, we released a new recording of Johann Sebastian Bach’s masterpieces - almost 25 years after our previous one: six concerts brimming with spirit and remarkable variety. More than any other works, the Brandenburgs remain the musical calling card of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin to this day.

For this anniversary, we invited two wonderful guest artists: with violinist Isabelle Faust, we have already recorded a highly acclaimed album of Bach’s violin concertos and in the meantime, a “Celebration of the Viola” has also been recorded with violist Antoine Tamestit.
