J. Haydn
Missa Cellensis
When the young Haydn entered the service of Prince Nikolaus Esterházy, he composed his Missa Cellensis, a large-scale work that soon achieved great popularity, as evidenced by the many surviving copies. With their exceptional interpretation, the RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin once again demonstrate how brilliantly they are able to bring out even the subtlest details of this almost operatic composition.
